Work is well underway on the dedicated area that will soon host the John Trollope MBE Statue at Foundation Park.

This week, significant progress has been made, with the installation of astroturf and paving stones, marking an exciting step toward the completion of the project. The space is beginning to take shape and will soon serve as a fitting place to honour one of Town’s greatest ever players

The statue, once installed, will honour Trollope’s incredible contribution to Swindon Town FC, having made a record number of Football League appearances for a single club — a milestone that remains unmatched to this day.

Shane Hewlett, Head of Foundation said:

“It’s fantastic to see this tribute to John coming to life. He’s an icon not just for the club, but for football as a whole. This space will give fans a chance to remember and celebrate his legacy for generations to come.”
